Janna Jones

A West Australian native with a traditional and "respectable" education and career in science. Janna would use her leave to backstage manage local and international fashion weeks for a few years prior to taking a big leap and moving to Milan in 2011 (not speaking the language or knowing a soul) to pursue art & design.

In Italy Janna fell irrevocably in love with luxury leather spent the next 8 years obsessively bringing back slow, considered and sustainable luxury leathergoods from her Australian coastal home. Showing at Australian Fashion week annually until 2020 (covid).

Never the keen to be a one trick pony, Janna took another scary leap (of her own imagining) into oil painting (also during covid). After years of illustrating, and a sketch a day, it felt time for the daunting permanency of oil paints. 
 

Today as she navigates the word "artist" and pursues extensive creative passions; Janna invites you to experience your own stories and emotions in her work. A dialogue; conversation between the work and you, the observer. An opportunity to view your own perceptions and projections.
